About the role
Once a buyer and seller are matched, someone has to hold the transaction together through documentation, statutory formalities and final transfer. That is this role. It suits someone organised and straightforward who is comfortable being the single point of contact for two parties whose interests do not entirely align, and who will give both of them the same account of where things stand.
What you would do
- Coordinate documentation between buyer, seller, lawyers and notaries
- Track each live transaction against its expected completion date
- Keep both parties informed with the same information at the same time
- Maintain the record of what was agreed at each stage
What we are looking for
- Degree or equivalent, and strong written English and Sinhala or Tamil
- Organised enough to hold a dozen live transactions without dropping one
- Comfortable delivering unwelcome news early rather than late
Specific to this role
- Structured handover from a senior coordinator in month one
- Exposure to property, vehicle and machinery transactions
